SAPS
SAP stands for the Government’s Standard Assessment Procedure for assessing the energy performance of dwellings. SAP methodology is the only compliance route for Part L1 of the Building Regulations and is based on the revised SAP 2005 Methodology created by BRE and industry.
The SAP is ultimately used to produce the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), which is required as part of the Home Information Pack (HIP).
